Who Doesn’t Love Beach & Sand?

Sep 23, 2011   //   by admin   //   Travel Tips  //  No Comments

Beaches are incredible places to visit. Crashing waves, soft sands, beautiful scenery and more make a beach one of the most relaxing and incredible types of places to visit ever. Now a beach is incredible, but a beach in Italy, well, there are just no words to describe how wonderful it is. Thanks to Italy’s one of a kind coastline, the beaches are full of little alcoves and crevices that create amazing spots from isolated coves to amazing areas of sea. There are many famous beaches in Italy, and I have been lucky enough to visit three of them in the last couple of years. I had the pleasure of going to Capri, Sicily, and Sardinia. I have every intention of returning to Italy to visit another beach in the near future. -Capri is found just off of the Sorrento peninsula that is in southern Italy. The island is full of mountains and is quite rocky and steep. The crystal clear blue of the sea can is unbelievable, and if you are looking for direct beach access, then you have only one option, the J.K. Palace Capri. That is the only hotel on the island that has the direct access that you may be looking for. -The moment I arrived in Sicily I was hooked. The white shores of Mondello Lido are captivating and I was only a short distance away from Palermo the capital city of Sicily. One of my favorite experiences has to have been the visit to the Aeolian Islands though. The beaches there are filled with striking and mysterious black sands, and the hot mud bath on the island was nice too. -The northeastern shore of Sardinia, is the place to go to if you are looking for that Mediterranean feel of Italy. Blue grottos, impressive waters, and miles and miles of pristine coast make this area quite pricey to stay at, but it is still a must see if you can. What impressed me the most though, were the unspoiled and immaculate beaches along the coast line. -If you are a beach lover like I am, then there is no reason why you should not consider venturing to Italy to at least visit one of the many incredible beaches that the country boasts. You will not be disappointed at all in any of the beaches that you go to, as I have been told time and time again.

What You Should Know About Car Rentals

Jun 9, 2011   //   by admin   //   Travel Tips  //  No Comments

Having a vehicle available is really a convenient option. It is for this reason that it is important for people to consider car rentals. While you would probably be interested in such services, you should still take the time to understand and know more about such options.

The first thing that you should really be concerned about is the reputation of the company. Car rental companies need to maintain good credibility with their customers. What you want to ensure is that you are dealing with a good institution. After all, you wouldn’t also want to gamble your money with a questionable supplier.

Apart from the company’s reputation, you should also have a budget peg. Remember that the budget would be dependent on how long you are planning to get the service of a car rental institution. As much as possible, try to formulate a budget that is workable enough. You also need to ensure that you are getting a good rein on your finances. Life is getting harder when it comes to financial aspects. It’s better if you could be wiser in your expenses.

Several factors also need to be considered but this would depend on the particular situation you’re in. Make sure that you plan your trip well and cover all the basics.

I Always Wanted Ride The London Eye

Jan 5, 2011   //   by admin   //   Attractions  //  No Comments

There are a lot of pretty interesting London attractions to visit, but the London Eye is one I’ve been wanting to try for a long time.  I love ferris wheels to start with, and the eye is really one very big, very slow moving, super high tech ferris wheel.  Those who designed it, may take a bit of offense to that, but when you look at it from a distance, that exactly what it reminds most people of.  Especially, when it’s all lit up at night, just like at the fair.  But, when you get up close it, I think it’s much more sci-fi looking then anything.  Everyone one of those pods look like some kind of mini space shuttle.  Pretty cool looking actually.

A really great time to go see it, is during new years eve celebrations when a whole host of fireworks are set off using the Eye as a backdrop.  In recent years, it’s off course been much more than just a backdrop, the Eye is really the center piece of the whole fireworks display.  What with a multitude of fireworks shooting off the circular sturcture.  With some shooting inwards, and some shooting outwards, it’s quite spectacular to watch.  I’ve always thought it would be cool to spend New Years in a different major city every year.  I think the display in London actually tops the falling ball in New York.  Time to start planning that trip

Sea Adventures

Dec 31, 2010   //   by admin   //   Diving  //  No Comments

6 Nights is the time that I spent at Seaventures, what a fabulous time!

I just was there to dive in the Sipadan Islands, and my needs were fulfilled! As this is low season, I got a Sipadan permit for each day, on the Diving oil-rig there were only a few guests.

From the main deck of the Seaventures Mabul Resort, it was a travel with a lift to the rig. Now you will need to use the stairs to go uphill. During the trip I had a room In the fourth stage, so there was a lot of climbing up and down. There is 24 hour electricity, a nice wireless internet connection for all the roms and of course it’s equipped with hot water showers.

Scario Is The Italy You’ve Been Dreaming Of

Oct 28, 2010   //   by admin   //   Scario  //  2 Comments

While Italy is beyond a doubt one of the most beautiful countries in the world, there are some places here your really don’t want to miss if your visiting. One of those such places, is the tiny hamlet of Scario, that is located along the coast in Southern Italy, within the Cliento. Scario is a peaceful and tranquil fishing village, that lives up to all the images it conjures up in the mind when you think of a scenic fishing village. Seriously, this is one place that makes the travel brochures pale in comparison. The early Greeks settled here and fell in love with the location and the moderate and temperate climate.

Bordering nearby, is a national marine park, which can be visited by boat. It’s a popular excursion for many who visit here. The real attraction here, is the bay and view it provides. It’s pretty tough to find a place in Scario, that doesn’t have a spectacular view of the water. And the palm trees, don’t forget the palm trees. The lungomare of is lined with them. Growing up in a northern climate, there’s always something about palm trees that makes me feel like I’m on vacation. Oh, and don’t forget about the food. Two incredible restaurants worth mentioning, are Casco Bosco and a Tipetica that is run by the son of the former. So, we’ve covered scenery and food. What more do you need from an amazing vacation spot?
